For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Galatians 5:13 KJV
A calling refers to a course of action, a categorization. In this case, we have been categorized with freedom and unto it because of Jesus CHRIST. We are not under bondage, the bondage of the power of sin or the bondage of ourselves. And this is so because of the power in the resurrection and the Name of Jesus Christ which anoints us into an elite ordinance of liberty. No longer a slave to the enemy, “No longer a slave to Fear” and no longer a slave to the world.
But in this freedom, there is a limitation Paul urges us to observe. In this liberty, do not exercise it for the things of the flesh or the thought of it. Indeed, liberty to the occasion of the flesh is slavery as of the start (beginning). Because you are free, don’t wander back to the forest of lusts and desires unfit for royalties of Heaven and I dare say the Universe. Let our liberty be unto love, unto service, unto the grace of ministering to one another. Also, your liberty is a gift now you should give it to another person.
