WHY IS GOD SILENT

BOND Fourteen

Why was GOD silent? Tell me! Why was GOD silent when we died; when we were dying? Why was GOD silent when we fought HIM; when we attempted to poke HIS eyes and throw dust into HIS mouth?

Why was GOD silent when we walked away; when we fought back with nudity and divinity was stunned?

Why did GOD keep quiet before we fell, why, can heaven tell?

Why was GOD silent when we let hell loose, set demons free and let them torment us at night? Why was GOD silent when I was depressed; when I was lost; when I was drenched in lust; when I was bitter; when I was weak; when I was tired of loving and living; tired of people leaving; when I was hopeless; when I was dull; when I was tempted by my greatest desires which came with great prices unmatched?

Why was GOD silent when I was arrested; when I was accused; when my family fought and died fighting; when my sanity left; when my apathy returned; when my Humanity was disowned; when why nights were like my days, wretched?

Why was GOD silent when I ate from filth and when I prayed unanswered prayers and when I looked at my lover take their last breath; when my doctor said my disease would not end until I ended?

Where was GOD and if GOD was here, why was GOD silent?

Silence

When GOD IS SILENT, GOD is waiting, as if holding HIS breath, waiting for you: what would you do; what do you remember and who do you run to when you get stunned? As though asking: What is your solution; do you have a will to say, “No!”; when would you use it; would you forfeit when the path is scorching, hoping to dry you up like wet clothes in the line beneath the summer sun?

In silence, GOD asks: would you lead or would you follow; would you speak or would you remain meek?

When GOD is silent, GOD is waiting; as though hoping that HIS breath would be held above yours; as though hoping that HIS life would be held above yours and HIS life: flawless would be held above yours, flawed…flooded with every challenge known and unknown.

When GOD is silent HE is sitting, searching to see what you believe in: what is your thought; where can you be thoroughly against HIM and for what reason; what is the cost of your rebellion; how deep would the hurt go before you curse HIM and die – before you break the course and lie or before you become the cause and highly exalted?

GOD is silent to strengthen you by letting you see how “strong” you are, first. GOD is silent if you are still speaking and not listening; and even when you are listening, GOD is silent to know, “for how long would you wait”?

God’s silence is an answer but for a child who spends time with Him, it feels so horrible. Like when Jesus cried out in the Gethsamane and on the cross…that seperation is torment and sometimes in silence, not knowing what to do can be sooooo……frustrating. But then as one begins to learn that silence does not mean alienation, then trust has been formed in that silence. That God, even though silent, hears every whisper, every prayer, and is very near.

    Listening….
Sometimes we just want a quick answer, a fast answer to all our questions. All our bother. Yet God wants in that moment a different communion. A communion of trust and devotion. Sometimes we just want to hear but not willing to obey, so God wanting us to really have that true passion, allows us to wait, to know how long and how far….
This indeed is just by always leaning on God every single breathe and telling Him “I just dont have the strenght of mine, I need yours every single moment”
