Ore.
Err-hello…Hello?

Tunde.
Yeah?

Ore.
Her-low?

Tunde.
Behave my friend, I can hear you.

Ore.
Oh… okay?

Tunde.
‘Bless you dear. How are you?

Ore.
I’m down…actually I’m very frustrated. Nothing is actually working and I don’t even know where to start from. It seems that it gets better only to just flip and get bitter. I think God doesn’t really like me the way he likes people like you or perhaps it’s my fate to not just get it right with faith like you do or…i don’t know.

Tunde.

Ore /awe’-rare,/ Could you speak up, I can’t hear you clearly…

Ore.

OOh…I’m fine… I’m fine, how are you?

Tunde.
I’ll live before I leave. I’m great?

Ore.
Oh gush, here we go again. Why does that sound like you are asking a question?

Tunde.
I am, actually. Truthfully, I don’t know.

Ore.
Are you okay?

Tunde.
I don’t know, okay? Errr I don’t know if I’m okay or if I should be okay or if I should be okay with being okay…or if it’s okay to be just okay. I-I know I’m in God’s hands but how I am in those hands is the issue…I…

Ore.
…I thought people like you have it all together.

Tunde.
Pff people like me… see… Having it all together means you know what the problem is and how to get it done…but sometimes you haven’t gotten it done and that could really hurt… You know… To know what to do, how and when and possibly where but see yourself running away from it all. (coughs) It’s the enemy at work.

Ore.
Who is the enemy?

Tunde.
UHMM…The enemy is me…

Ore.
Ahan! Why are you the enemy?

Tunde.
Because I think it as deprivation to do the Holy things of God and stand without blame.

Ore.
(to herself) this one has come again (to Tunde) What is standing without blame?

Tunde.
I think that has to do with laying down all gratifications of self that stand against the manifestation of the Will of God upon your life. It’s like setting off any point of excuse or flaw that stands against the perfection of God’s Will. To have white garment without grey spots or black lines or dents of dirt…

Ore.
I see…but can anyone ever stand without blame?

Tunde.
Yes, but like daddy says, it calls for personal duty and responsibility. Let me tell you my own point. You have a habit which draws you away from God like the smoker draws his cigar or you have a person whose conversation alienates the knowledge of God or does things which are evil yet you seem to approve of them because you take the person in high esteem, that is the blame. Being without blame is forgoing the very things you are used to doing that do not meet the standard of God and they are often things you can stop but do not want to stop.

Ore.
(exhales deeply)

Tunde.
What God has done is to give us the mental picture of what we should be and then he sets before us the path towards that picture: whether or not we follow is actually up to us, if we are Weak to follow through but we begin then He upholds us accordingly. That’s why I said the enemy is me because it is my responsibility to actually lift my hands to Abba to be carried in a hug. I’m at the point of lifting my hands, oily as they may be…

(silence)

Tunde.
Are you there?

Ore.
Yes…yes…You have it figured out, what am I even supposed to do with my life. I’m actually a mess.

Tunde.
A what?

Ore.
I’m scattered…I’m scattered.

Tunde.
Don’t say that or you’ll really be…if what you are doing now isn’t GOD’S will, you would not have peace doing it or be fulfilled when you are done. You need to stop it. Stop it all. Most times we wander away from where we should be, hoping God blesses our endeavours which would destroy us. Well, the good news is that he doesn’t… I’m not sure he created you just to give you what would destroy you. Remember I told you that you are alive because there is a residue of God in you…think of it as God keeping God in tact in you. I believe you need to go back to the very point you deviated because…that’s where God is waiting. Now, you know the point…

Ore.
…I don’t. You know I don’t…

Tunde.
You think you don’t but if you meditate on what you’ve done, trace what you have done and when you began…heck Ore, you know where… GOD doesn’t leave us clueless, that’s why I said the enemy is me because I know and I choose to ignore it. Ignorance also deals with ignoring what you should know and work on. Besides, you have the Holy Spirit who is the spirit of truth to guide you into all truth and show you things to come…

Ore.
Don’t go all conflict on me… I’m not a poem. (hisses)

Tunde.
This girl, behave yourself… I’m just telling you the truth: conflict or not and if you tell yourself the truth, the truth would reveal itself. Stop all you are doing, place them like offering before God and ask him what he thinks about them…whatever he says, you do…I’m sure he would appreciate this offering beyond dancing to drop of wads off currency in your parish. (chuckles)

Ore.
Makes sense…thank you very much. What about you?

Tunde.
It turns out that if I can listen to myself and obey just as you should, I would be out of the okay-episode as well. Talking to you has helped map out the whole maze…so thank you, too.

Ore.
You are welcome, How’s your GOD’sBondMan thing?

Tunde.
Counting everyday as it comes…giving the best of everyday for everyday. I now understand what “give us this day our daily bread” means…it’s intense for me…

Ore.
Uhm… bread…now I’m hungry…

Tunde.
Don’t forget what I asked you to do… Foodie

Ore.
Leave me alone. Ehen, how’s mummy?

Tunde.
She’s…

  1. “Don’t go all conflict on me… I’m not a poem.” this got me laughing hard 😂😂😂😂😂
We are not okay when we don’t follow. When we lean on ourselves. When we refuse to trust and throw our insecurities away. We are not okay when we hold on to all that easily besets us.
But it is okay to know when we are not okay. Problem lies when we don’t know or when we know and refuse to still surrender #astudent….
