The Affirmation of Truth

When I survey the sequence and archetype of “setting forth from your father’s house” as Abraham and Jacob did, I come to a swift confirmation that these men – and many others who did the same thing – had to deal with what I call the Thirst For Affirmation which was a crucible for certification.

What is the Thirst For Affirmation?

It is to test for salvation. To seek even though it is bleak, to be meek, when you pick the broken pieces of truth (which have been shattered by the world); to plunge self like a sacrifice into the root of existence. To ask “what is?” and to also, “what is not?” even though it appears to be.

It is the test in salvation, the trial to try your innermost intentions, to reveal to you what you did not know about yourself. To set a course for treacherous places but to also get the source for wondrous graces. The thirst for affirmation is to be guest of redemption.

To be helpless and to be on the break of death before life is thrust into you.

The thirst for affirmation is a journey where you know where you are going but not what you shall see as you go. It is also a motion of faith to an accomplishment of the substance which has been hoped for. To thirst for affirmation is to have hope and faith and trust.

This thirst would come as a dream, when you lie in state – dead to the world but alive in GOD’s Word. It would come as your veins pump the blood of the heart, as you breathe, as you believe, as you be…regardless of what you have left behind to begin this journey. It would be to you as sure as the sun is to set even as it is to rise but I am most certain that this Thirst For Affirmation would be quenched in those moments when GOD – who is the Water of Life, springing-forth like a fountain of Living water – comes before you to make certain HIS promise and covenant to you like HE did to Jacob in his vision.

This Thirst For Affirmation is the seal upon your faith that even while you have nothing, it is your everything and it is the reason for your breath. This thirst does not leave by water from the earth but it lives to keep the fire in your bone burning, as a living sacrifice unto the maker of your soul. As fire, it would consume you if you do not move to the right place but it would empower you like fossil fuel in combustion when you cleave to the right grace.

The Thirst For Affirmation would be quenched in a ladder of elevation, as angels move like messengers between the dust of the earth and the stars of the heaven. What I can say as I have learnt from Jacob, on his sojourn to find meaning in life, is to make yourself available to this thirst as it would give you essence to a fulfilment that quickens your weak mortal bones to accomplish feats which are greater than human orchestration.

The Thirst For Affirmation is, also, the truth unfolding itself to humanity; it is Man (human in flesh beyond gender) beholding GOD in awe because GOD is awesome.

It is by the Thirst For Affirmation that the affirmation of truth is gotten because GOD wishes to see if you are willing to behold the truth without blemish or human distortions and inflections. Thus, this thirst for affirmation is the means to attain a certification on and for the journey of life. It is important to have in mind that it is GOD, alone, who gives this certification for authentic fulfilment in life so your thirst should be for HIS affirmation.
