The Christian Narrative of “YOLO” (Part Two)

BOND 261

You have one life to live for

You have one life to live for: the life of GOD. The thing is, if all these things you struggle for are only for these things you struggle for then it’s worthless. They can be destroyed so it’s worthless. If all you live for is the pay-cheque, the recognition, the fame, the success story, the “whatevers” that you wrote on your bucket-list as a child, then it’s all for nothing because they would all come to an end. The better hope and expectation is to live your life for the life of GOD; to be rewarded with that life that overcomes death like light which overpowers darkness. You have one life to live for, it is the life of GOD in you which bears witness of the great testimony of GOD’s Divine Will and plan which was made perfect before the earth was made.

You have one life to cleave to

You have one life to cleave to: the life of righteousness. The life of Holiness which is wholly a reflection of GOD’s life and presence in you. Methinks that the life that is righteous is the standard through which my life should be tailored to – on this – methinks rightly, too. Methinks it is the righteous life that I should cleave to, cling to, hold on to, never leave, always live; just believe – methinks rightly, too. You have one life to cleave to, one life to cleave for.

You have one life to live

You have one life to live; you only live once and after that, it’s judgement: for life or death. You only get one chance, no cheat maneuvers – just once. It’s appointed for us to live, once; and after that, death. It is appointed for us to die, once; and after death, judgement. We don’t have the luxury of reincarnation, it’s all a repetition of genes. We don’t have the luxury of second-guessing; after death, we come face to face with the reality of it all (without prowess to change a thing). We only get this one chance: blow it and it is all gone. You only have one space to live, one…one….one. That’s why life is so precious. I mean, we can elongate life but we cannot double life…we only have one copy, no photo copy can be as surreal as the original copy. We were typed right by a wholly righteous GOD. That’s a privilege, life is a privilege. Live life!
