James, your words are not meagre. Their implications come with heavy deductions and this is why I fret reading them at times because the moment we know a thing, we are guilty if we don't act to stop said thing from prevailing against GOD-in-us and GOD-with us.
In the declaration, "men are scum", we have, in ourselves, an ellipsis of reality that we are all helpless and in need of saving; that daily, we groan with all creation, waiting to be annexed for the good that we were made to be. We say that there is more to all these that we find joy in and only if we could reach for that one thing. In saying we are scum, we are asking to be cleansed…
The Act of the Messiah is the action of faith to which we – as humans – would receive the power of the ALMIGHTY by hearing HIS Voice and obeying the order of creation.
Heck! Who would want a saviour who has no idea of what you should be saved from; who can take away the hurt, by helping, unless they know what the hurt is? The Man – JESUS knows!
The Messiah says that GOD's Love is manifested by calling all humans being – led astray by lust and pride – to repentance and reinstatement in the ideal of creation which is peace and undying life (John 3:16).
Weeping, Dying, dead. End of sin, finished evil, buried in wealthy man's tomb, resurrected, king: with an unending throne and reign; guide to the lost, light to the world, mercy for the broken, unforgotten, undefeated; not disputed; the last message to humanity from GOD: creator not created – GOD as GOD before humanity.
In the face of my error, I shall clothe my mind in the garments of repentance and not merely remorse because repentance works towards a restoration that remorse seeks to reinvent the pain on whose shoulders I should step on over the walls of my guilt.
